What is Zap?
A Zapier automation consisting of a trigger and one or more actions. When the trigger fires, the actions execute automatically.
In plain English
A Zap is Zapier's term for an individual automation workflow. Every Zap has a trigger (the event that starts it) and at least one action (what happens as a result). For example: 'When a new contact is added to Mailchimp (trigger), create a new contact in HubSpot (action) AND send a Slack notification (second action).' Zaps run in the background, 24/7, without any manual effort.
